How Excavators Cope with Summer Heat?

High engine oil temperature and high water temperature of excavators are regarded as commonplace during hot summer days. so how do we respond when we encounter these problems?

First of all, you need to know why such issues of high oil temperature and high water temperature of excavator occur?

1. Why is the oil temperature high?

High oil temperature is similar to high water temperature, both with large and small circulation. Check these places when you get high oil temperature. First, check the fuel return check valve. There is an fuel return check valve during the cycle. Once this fuel return valve gets stuck, the oil temperature rises. Second, check the fan pump. The digging machine drives the fan motor to adjust the rotating speed by the fan pump. Last, check the overflow device. Generally speaking, high oil temperature is associated with those parts.

2. Why is the water temperature high?

The water tank is used to dissipate heat, and this heat dissipation depends on air cooling, which is realized through the fan driven by the engine.

Reasons that affect water temperature:
Cooling SystemA. the thermostat gets stuck inside. In this case, water can only circle in a small circulation mode, preventing the radiator from working.
B. fan speed is insufficient, causing the clutch failure.
C. the rubber strip around the radiator gets damaged, leading to eddy current and hot air circulation, thus the cooling effect cannot be achieved.
D. the sensor is broken and sends an error message.

According to the experience of professional and technical personnel, if the oil temperature and water temperature of the engine are relatively high at the same time, and the quantity of diesel oil and water is relatively sufficient, it is recommended that the oil temperature should be reduced at first and then the water temperature.
Pay attention to these points:
1. Excessive oil temperature is harmful to the engine.
2. Lowering oil temperature can slow down the rising rate of water temperature .
3. Oil temperature is one of the main factors that affect oil pressure.
4. The first drop in water temperature is critical to the formation of oil pressure in the main shaft oil passage of the engine.
